The International Conference EquaDiff 2017 was held at the Slovak University of Technology from 24 July to 28 July, 2017 in Bratislava, Slovakia. An employees of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Anar Rahimov and the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Elshan Ibayev took part in the International Conference.

The conference has brought together more than 400 well-known researchers from over 36 countries world-wide. The conference program has included 15 plenary lectures and invited lectures given in the framework of 29 minisymposiums, and contributed talks. The Equadiff is a series of biannual conferences on mathematical analysis, numerical approximation and applications of differential equations since 1962. It is held in rotation in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Western Europe. During the last decades the Equadiff has clearly developed into the world platform for international exchange of ideas on all mathematical and numerical aspects of differential equations, ranging from fundamental concepts to applications.

Rahimov A. was invited by prof. Marian Slodička (Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium) to make the report entitled “An approach to numerical solution to inverse source problems with nonlocal conditions” in the minisymposium of “Computational methods in direct and inverse PDE’s” organized by prof. M. Slodička and Dr. Karel Van Bockstal (Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium).

Ibayev E. also made the report entitled “The Laplace-Stilties transformation of compatible distribution of the kind semimarkov random walk process” in the section of Contributed Talks.

Both of the reports were interesting for the conference participants, various questions were asked about the subjects.

It was decided that the upcoming Equadiff 2019 conference will be held in Leiden (The Netherlands) from July 8 to 12, 2019.
