Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Institute, PhD in geological-mineralogical sciences Orkhan Abbasov presided the seminar, and at first scientific worker of department of "Gamma-spectrometry of geological environment", post-graduate Aziza Aliyeva made a speech on the theme of "Radio-ecological situation in Absheron peninsula".

Young researcher by providing information about the results of the research on the subject of research noted that the main risks to the peninsula zones are areas with oil and gas fields.

The next speaker of seminar senior assistant of department of "Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology", master Hamid Alayarov made speech on the theme of "Estimation of influence of Oguz-Gabala water intake operation to the geo-ecological situation in the region" and said that the aim of the research area that may occur during the negative exploitation of groundwater and geological study conditions.

Therefore, regular monitoring was held on the subject of the study, collected large amounts of data, geo-ecological situation is analyzed and evaluated on the scientific basis.
