General Information

In accordance with the Decision of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences “On the establishment of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS” dated October 17, 2013, No. 21/3, the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS was established on December 27, 2013 at the General meeting of young scientists and specialists of scientific institutions of ANAS. The council is currently headed by Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Elmir Babayev.

The main purpose of the Council is to increase the scientific potential of young scholars of ANAS, to stimulate various initiatives, to ensure the flow to science, to organize effective leisure time, to cover their scientific innovations in various media, to provide them with methodological and informational assistance.

The activities of the Council also include the promotion of science in the country and the acceleration of the integration of Azerbaijani science into world science. The Council of Young Scientists and Specialists unites more than 2,500 members in coordination with the (local) councils of young scientists and specialists operating in 42 institutes and organizations of ANAS.

The Council operates on the basis of the annual action plan, guided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Charter of ANAS, decisions of the Presidium of ANAS, orders and decrees of the President of ANAS and its own Charter.

The strategy of the public association includes the promotion and encouragement of science, coordination of innovative projects, work with regions, international cooperation, holding scientific public events, scientific publications, regular monitoring of the activity of local councils operating in the organizations under ANAS and public relations.
