By joint organization of ANAS Young Scientists and Specialists Council and Knowledge Foundation under AR President, “Mathematical logics” Olympiad was held among the students of Ismayilly region.

Opening the knowledge competition which was held at secondary school N 5, delegate of Executive Power Nasimi Teymurov made speech on goals and objectives of the event. He thanked to ANAS Young Scientists and Specialists Council and Knowledge Foundation under AR President on behalf of Ismayilly region Executive Power, prof. Mirdamed Sadigov.

Afterwards, chairman of ANAS Young Scientists and Specialists Council, PhD in physics-math Famin Salmanov provided information about the organization led by him. He appreciated this type of events from viewpoint of secularizing Azerbaijan science in whole country, identifying talented scientists, and involving them into science. “The capital of Youth - 2015” is one of the main reasons of holding Olympiad in Ismayilly, he added.

Delegate of Knowledge Foundation under the President of AR for Ismayilly region, director of secondary school N 5 Elchin Mammadov stated that, Olympiad aims at revealing students with high intellectual training and encouraging them.

Later on, chief of “Data maintenance” sector of the Knowledge Foundation, PhD in philology Khatira Huseynova noted that, one of the key goals of the newly created foundation is to contribute dynamic growth of Azerbaijan education and to achieve proper guidance of talented students'. In a short period of time foundation has realized several projects. Enhancing of the project is intended to organize in remote areas, she added.

After the opening ceremony competition was kicked off. In accordance with a pre-defined format, the Olympiad was held in three stages and students’ mathematical knowledge was assessed by a jury composed of qualified scholars.

According to the decision of the jury, first and second places have been gained by students of secondary schools N 1 and 5, while the third place gained by Tazakand rural school students.

The winner teams and their members were donated gifts, diplomas and certificates.
