ANAS Institute of Literature celebrated the Youth Day

Event devoted to the 2 February - Youth Day, took place in the electron conference hall of the Institute of Literature of ANAS.

Opening the event Vice-President of ANAS, director of the institute, Acad. Isa Habibbayli spoke about history of the 2 February - Youth Day, laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Academician stated that, youth policy is the one of vital directions of the state activity in Azerbaijan. Establishing the Ministry of Youth and Sports, carrying out all-republic forums of the youth of independent Azerbaijan, declearing February 2 as a day of youth, adopting numerous state programs, signing orders and decrees regard in youth policy, confirming wide scale activity programs are high value and attention by the country to the youth, he noted.

I. Habibbayli stressed out the education of the talented youth in the leading highest institutions in abroad as well as youth’s achievements in various spheres of sports as a part of fruitful youth policy in the country.

Later on, chairman of Board of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, PhD in philology Eshgana Babayeva reported on the activity of this scientific venture in a previous year.

Then, names of winners in nomination of “Young scientist of the year” were announced. Isa Habibbayli presented awards of “Young scientist of the year” to Eshgana Babayeva, Mehman Hasanov, Turan Teymurov and Maraq Yagubova for their scientific activities for 2015.

In the event, chairman of ANAS Board of Young Scientists and Specialists, PhD in physics, Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanov, chairman of the Board of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Physics, PhD in physics Suma Huseynova and others highlighted the obtained successes as a result of care and attention of the President Ilham Aliyev, who develops state youth policy laid by national leader significantly.
