On February 19, Central Scientific Library hosted the report meeting of ANASCouncil of Young Scientists and Specialists Council in 2015.

In the event, President of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh stated that, the key goal and duty of academy should be development of national science, ensure of staff training and integration of Azerbaijan science into the world science. Today, innovative projects are being held in ANAS in connected with boosting of scientific youth and their results increase confident in future of Azerbaijan science.

All-round state care is shown to creative and scientific progress of the youth in the country. Challenges of a globalized world set new demands forth Azerbaijan science and youth. Currently, increasing of scientific capacity of the youth, boosting their inventions and discoveries in various areas and funding the projects and programs are mainstreamed in ANAS, was noted.

Academician A.Alizadeh stressed out the vital role of ANAS Council of Young Scientists and Specialists Council in scientific-social life of ANAS and spoke about fulfillments implemented by this organization.

Increase of articles which published on the journals of Impact factor by domestic young scientists are gauged by head of ANAS as a result of studies carried out in the multidisciplinary field.

Then, chairman of the Council, PhD in physics Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanovreported on the scientific-organizing performance of the organization in 2015.

He notified that, for the first time workshops in earth and chemistry sciences were organized in the highest schools due to provide involve of prepared youth to master studies of ANAS in the particular institutions. It has propagated interest in newly created master specialties of ANAS.

With the purpose of science promotion, “Science nooks” have been created, “open door” days held, and organized Olympiad and knowledge competitions, he highlighted.

F. Salmanov noted that, 2 international, 2 republican conferences, including jubilee and commemorative events were implemented by the Council during 2015.

Chairman brought to mind awarded distinguished youth, working in the scientific ventures of ANAS. So, in 2015, a person was deserved to “Presidential Award for the Youth”, 2 individuals – “The young man of the year”, aired by Ministry of Youth and Sports, almost 10 young people – Certificate of Merits of the Presidium of ANAS and relevant scientific departments.

Executive director of Knowledge Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ogtay Samadov stressed out development between ANAS and his organization and necessity of further enhancing. Scientists of academy regularly attend the events organized by Knowledge Foundations in the several secondary schools of the republic, deliver lectures, he added.

Members of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists – PhD in chemistry Presidential Laureate Fakhriyya Mammadova, Famil Mustafa, PhD in Biology Sabina Bunyatova reported in various lectures.

Finally, resolution of the report meeting has been read and approved.
